I have had this vintage dress for sooo long and no one to put it on until this week.  Miss Kendall was the perfect little lady for it.  Can you believe the pictures turned out EXACTLY how I envisioned them in my head…love it when that happens!

Look at little miss Saylor…what a doll….

Next weekend we are packing up for a little road trip!  I will be speaking at the Essential for Women seminar presented by Professional Photographers of Michigan.  If you are in the area you should attend.  I hear the resort is breathtaking!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

We went to Cape this weekend to be with family for the holiday and it was utterly blissful.

We arrived late Friday night and considering we were all pooped went to bed.  Danny slept in one room with Lukas and I in the other with Stella.  Saturday morning came way to soon and as the sunlight came blazing in the bedroom at the crack of dawn I couldn’t help but wish for rain…overcast skies would have equalled at least another hour of sleep.  So I just layed there watching Stella as she began to squirm around and begin to wake.  I was just countinng my blessings and gazing at her precious little face when her eyes poped open and she sat up bewildered…almost frightened…because I don’t think she remembered where she was. That only lasted an instant though and as soon as she realized where she was, the BIGGEST smile you could ever imagine splashed across her face.  It was hilarious because I have never seen her that happy, that fast, in the morning before.  She jumped out of bed and immediately went down stairs to catch up with Mamaw.

The rest of the weekend was just as lovely as that morning.  My mom did lots of cooking, we did lots of eating.  My dad came out and took the boys fishing.  Can you believe they were out there for 4 hours?  A 4 and 5 year old…how does that happen?  We rode the 4 wheeler all over the property.  I even drove it and almost lost my husband off the back…lol.  Just a little trigger happy I guess ;)   The Easter bunny came…several times ;) …it was a childs paradise…

After dinner on Saturday night we sat out in the yard and just laughed and chatted and drank some adult beverages…it was a lovely evening.

I even managed to squeeze in 2 sessions.  Fletcher was first…his momma owns Annie Lauries Antiques in Cape.  The coolest little antique shop you ever saw…A mecca for awesome finds and decorating ideas.  His momma and I go way back, so watching this little guy grow up is especially heart warming.

Next up is little Gwen…she is such a doll and I have lots of fine memories that include her parents too…

and just for your viewing pleasure, I have to share a couple of Lukas and Stella(just a couple snaps in my mom’s front yard, nutin special)…is Stella’s outfit not the cutest EVER, courtesty of my wonderful friend Denise…reminds me of Pippi Longstocking.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and glorious Easter.

…5 years old today…technically at 9:32pm or maybe is was 10:32pm…I dunno.  Diminished memory…or perhaps selective???

I was thinking about my 10th birthday today.  Lukas was riding his power wheels 4 wheeler(that he just got for his birthday) like a crazy man…I was seriously having chest pains. I was worrying about him getting hit by a car or flippin his ride…ya know, the ususal, when I remembered my 10th birthday (or maybe is was 11th…sheez) anywho…I got this beautiful 10 speed.  I was so unbelieveably excited and I told my mom I was riding my new bike around the block.  Low and behold on my first excursion with my pretty new piece…I get hit by a truck…no joke.

I was riding up a hill and I saw this guy at the top of the hill in his truck talking to some honey mowing the lawn and I could see he was still driving and coming straight for me…I veered…he hit…me…

The funny part was I got up and shook it off…not a tear until I saw my brand new bike bent in half…

The poor guy almost had a heart attack himself and I can guarantee he did not make a good impression on the little honey he was sweet talkin…poor guy.  Anyway…he drove me home and bought me a new bike.  No harm…no foul.

OMG…I am locking my children up until they are 35…well at least 18.

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Let me just say I love shooting seniors.  My senior year was one of the best years of my life and I love that I get to be a part of the memory for these young girls and guys!  It’s the year the precedes the changing point for life as you know it and the romance of not knowing what lies ahead is almost as unbearable my current longing for Edward…ehem…I mean Danny love…

I am almost as nostalgic as Denise…okay okay….I am just as nostalgic and I think about those years on a daily basis…the loves, the drama, the friends, the fun…I wouldn’t change any of it for anything.  It all defined who I am today.

Yesterday I got a peek into the world of Miss C.  She has a smile that could warm up a nuclear winter and I just know she is going to make her mark on this world.  I am so honored she choose me to mark this time in her life.

Does she look like Rhianna or what?????

Aren’t you glad I made us RUN over here…?

See what I mean?

and this one…sigh…I wish you could see it bigger here on the blog.

just had to stop in real quick and wish my baby girl a Happy Birthday!

So our routine is this.  Lukas wakes up first comes in my bed.  Snuggles with me…mostly plays with my hair.  He goes downstairs with Danny.  I go back to sleep.  Then number 2, known to you all as Stella comes into my bed.  Snuggles with me and we fall back asleep for a while.  Get up around 9.  Every morning…almost.  It is sooo grand.  Stella is such a good snuggler.  She is Miss Sassy pants most of the time, but in the morning, when we snuggle, she is the sweetest thing on Earth.

I got her this cute little jumper and we just had to go take pics…in usual Stella fashion.  If it isn’t crazy face it is uber serious.  I love it all!  God is good to me!
